About BMUN

What is BMUN?
BMUN, Berkeley Model United Nations, is the an organization on campus that facilitates the oldest high school Model United Nations conference in the nation. Each March, we put on a professional and fun conference for over 1400 high school students.
What Do We Do?
As a member of BMUN, you would take part in preparing and executing the conference. You get a chance to chair a committee, run a dance full of high schoolers, and deal with the logistics of putting on a 1400-person conference. It is challenging work, but very rewarding.
Aside from the Conference, BMUN members work throughout the year to enrich their knowledge of international issues. BMUN also gives Berkeley students the opportunity to work with Bay Area students through our outreach program, where we go to disadvantaged schools and help them build MUN programs.
Who Should Apply?
Anyone and everyone! There is an application and interview process in the early days of fall semester. Whether you did MUN in high school or not, we are open to all types of applicants. Our club has a diversity of members spanning different majors, cultures, and political persuasions.
If you are interested in applying, click HERE for the application. Until the online application is up, you can download this application, and, if you wish to submit your application early, you can submit it to Staff Development.
