Saturday Night Activities Security Guidelines
Berkeley Model United Nations has been granted the privilege to host the Saturday Night Activities in Pauley Ballroom on campus this year. It is imperative for the future of this event that the following guidelines are met and enforced. Advisors, students, and chaperones must follow these guidelines, as required by the University of California and Berkeley Model United Nations.
• Upon registration of the conference, high school advisors must provide all names and emergency contact information for each chaperone.
• No guests or other non-conference affiliated persons will be allowed to enter Pauley Ballroom for Saturday Night Activities.
• Advisors must check-in each student that attends the dance. Delegates will not be allowed to enter without their advisor.
• All delegates must have BMUN 58 credentials for entrance into the dance; there are no exceptions. Replacement credentials can be purchased in OPI during the conference.
• The hours for the dance are 8:00 – 11:00pm. Entrance to the dance is prohibited after 10:00pm. Plan to arrive on time.
• There will be NO in and out privileges during the dance.
• No delegate is permitted to leave without his/her advisor or school-designated chaperone. Advisors will be required to sign out their delegates, and will be expected to accompany students no later than 11pm. If a delegate must leave with a non-designated chaperone or advisor, he/she must have written permission from his/her legal guardian.
Students will be expected to maintain proper discipline and behavior during the Saturday night dance (NO drugs, alcohol, weapons, or other illegal paraphernalia are permitted). The University of California Police will be present to enforce these guidelines.
We look forward to a safe and fun dance, and truly appreciate your help and cooperation.
